Hannah Bang is a bilingual South Korean writer director based in Los Angeles.

She is currently developing a tv series Pearl with Wiip and Apple TV+ and recently directed an episode of The Chi on Paramount +. Hannah participated in the 2023 Rising Voices program and Film Independent’s 2022 Project Involve. Her thesis short soak had a World Premiere at the 2021 SXSW film festival. Hannah’s work covers a wide range of forms including an ensemble theater play Prodigy for the Hollywood Fringe Fest, a sponsored short film Ripple Effect that was shot using StageCraft, and a collaboration feature project Voodoo Macbeth which had a theatrical release.

Hannah is a recipient of the Jon Chu Scholarship and the James Bridges and Jack Larson Directing Scholarship at USC, the Entertainment Technology Center’s Innovative Technology Award, and the 2022 New Filmmaker Grant. Her work has screened at SXSW, Tribeca, BIFAN, Palm Springs IFF, CAA Moebius, and online platforms such as Vimeo Staff Pick and DUST.
